Project status
The following are major projects recently undertaken in the development of this project.
- The Aristoberry project was initiated in late September 2008. It started as Jacob Cybulski's vision to ensure that Australian avant-garde art is recognised and supported by the public, and the work of avant-garde artists is appreciated and preserved for the future generations.
- In October 2008, the project gained the support of a Melbourne artist - Dana Michalska - whose work is currently featured on the Aristoberry web site. More artists are joining in and their work will soon appear in the Aristoberry gallery.
- We are currently planning the legal framework for the Aristoberry web site, which will be based on the Creative Commons licensing. Creative commons provide a common sense approach to sharing electronic media (already out in the public domain) while protecting the artists from alteration to their work and preserving the artists rights to commercial exploitation of their art.
